Frequently Asked Questions
Q: How do virtual sessions work? Where do you provide tutoring services?
A: Sessions are held online through Google Meet. I will send a calendar link before the session and all your student needs to do is click it and be prepared to learn. I use a combination of screen sharing for test questions, as well as an iPad to work through the problems with your student live.

Q: Where do you provide tutoring services? Time zones?
A: While I am based in Denver, CO, I tutor in all time zones. I currently have students in California, Texas, New York, and New Mexico. We can find a time that works for your busy schedule.

Q: How many hours does my student need to achieve x score increase?
A: Ideally you want to start test prep as early as possible. My first package starts at 10 hours, as this is the minimum amount of time to complete several practice tests, identify and improve your student's weak subjects, and begin to lessen anxiety towards the tests. While any practice will help improve your student's score, noticeable gains begin to appear after multiple iterations of this test, analyze, improve, and implement cycle. After 20 sessions, significant gains are possible.

Q: Does my student need to do anything outside of the scheduled sessions? Is there "homework"?
A: Yes. Your student will need to be able to complete practice tests (2-3 hours), and spend time reviewing their mistakes, so that the scheduled sessions can laser focus on their specific questions and concerns. I find targeting 4-5 hours per week is the sweet spot for noticeable point gains while avoiding testing fatigue and burnout.
Q: What is your rescheduling policy?
A: I require the previous day's notice for any rescheduling requests. Any rescheduling requests sent the day of the scheduled session will incur a fee of 75% of the scheduled rate. Just let me know if you can't make it as soon as possible and we will find a time that works.
Q: Do you make any guarantee on score improvement?
A: Due to the variability of the testing environment and your student's day-of performance, I am unable to guarantee an improved score. However, after dozens of students I have not had a single one who did not improve upon their previous test scores. If your student unfortunately does not improve their score, I am happy to continue tutoring them and will automatically bump them up into the next package tier (pay-as-you-go to score boost, or score boost to comprehensive mastery).
